Wagner singing ‘Creep’ by Radiohead was mind boggling. However, I think that there should be more Radiohead covers on the x-factor. I’d really like to see One Direction try ‘Exit Music’; I think they could easily convey its isolated, existential angst. Katie Waissel doing ‘Fitter, happier’ would be quite appropriate, as she draws ever nearer to another harrowing emotional crisis. What next? Cher Lloyd doing Leonard Cohen? 

I’m disappointed that the producers didn’t go with my suggestion of a black metal theme, although the ‘rock’ night was a compromise I suppose. Perhaps an early 90’s rave theme would be more suitable? I would like to see the contestants give the songs of Altern-8, old skool Prodigy, D-Mob and S-Xpress a go.
